  1. call a glass guy. 100 bucks

  2. get a new window woodglue it.try it.

  3. Is it an aluminum frame? Wood? Plastic? Double pane glass?

My house has old, 70s vintage aluminum windows new double glazed ones in the add on.

The aluminum ones that slide to the side have a pane that does not move, but if you look closely there are screws that hold it in place. Remove the screws and take the whole pane out and take it to a place that you find under Glass in your local Yellow Pages and they can put new glass in it.

The double glazed window has a plastic piece above it you can get to when the window is open all the way. Take it out and you can lift the sash out of the frame. Call the manufacturer as some of them can only be supplied by them. Otherwise, take it to a place that you find under Glass in your local Yellow Pages and maybe they can put new glass in it. Call first.

    Good luck.
