How do i replace a civic oil pan?

i have a b16 engine.. DOHC 1.6 l on my ex, engine from the 99 si.. well, the thread on my oil drain is stripped.. i was planning on going to the junk yard to get a replacement for it.. is there any other model that uses the same oil pan, such as an integra or other civic?.. if so what year and model?.. thanks

  1. trusting arent you? if i were you i'd go to autozone, buy a chiltons manual for your car (otherwise known as the car bible) and ask one of thier guys his opinion. usually those guys know a lot because they're the old school shade tree mechanics.


  2. save your self the trouble, and go buy a new one that does not have all of the dents and dings in it. you want to match the car exactly really.  

  3. Lisle tools sells a kit for drilling and tapping out a new larger drain plug. If your gonna replace it go with a new one cuz there cheap anyhow.
