How do i replace a front strut for a 1992 geo prism

unless you have the spring tool to hold the tension off the strut you cant replace it,you can rent the tool if you need to though but if you don't know how to do this don't attempt it,you can get hurt real bad doing this job if your not experienced at doing it,those springs can literally take your head off,god luck.

Auto zone has a tool you can purchase to compress the springs with, then get your money back when you are finished, if you don't break it.

Remove the strut from vehicle, put strut assembly in spring compressor, swap over strut and any rubber parts bumper/rubber on bottom of spring, install new struts and get a four wheel alignment. Takes about 10 mins to do both sides.
