How do i report a website that is scamming people?

i was scammed out of $1,600 and now i can't get them to respond to any of my e-mails

  1. Can you be more specific about how you were scammed?  It would help to know more details about what happened to give you better advice.

    Unfortunately, that is a common scam.  You can go to scamwarners.com to help other people avoid your mistake.  These people most likely lied to you about every detail they gave you and that's why it is difficult for law enforcement to track them down.

    If you want to have some good folks make those people miserable, you can post all the details you have over on 419eater.com - those folks fight against scammers by wasting as much time as possible to try to keep them away from real victims.

    Edit to add: I am assuming here that you have gone to the police.  I am also assuming that your bank has come back to you and told you the checks you deposited are not real.  If none of this has happened yet, you need to immediately speak to your bank and the police.  Print out whatever emails you can.  If you have the envelopes you got the checks in, take that as well.


  2. You should also report this scam to the police.  Many policing communities have links to a fraud database - at some point in time they might get caught.
