How do i reset my laptops password?

When i turn it on it just says enter pass word my laptop is a omnibook 900. thanks

  1. 1.- boot your computer on safe mode

    (press f8 when u turn it on)

    2.- go to start -> run, and type 'control userpasswords2' without the quotes

    unless is the bios password (if it is you will need to contact hp)
