Hi, please bear with me as I am new to this! I asked a question about 'wounding with intent' yesterday as my oh has been attacked in a nasty manner, I received a couple of good answers but then 2 that I didn't understand - a link to 'copyright laws' and someone saying they are an 'intent man' - I am not sure whether I am missing something here or if these two posters are having a strange little joke?

  1. Best thing is to just ignore them.

On the whole we are quite a nice community of people who get on here to help one another out. (or so I believe)

However there are a bunch of nut heads who take their pleasure in humiliating you or intimidating you, these are just the bullies you left behind at school.  I posted a question the other day and received some horrible contributions but in the main most people contribute well.

Keep up the good work and it won't be long before you are on level 2.

  2. Some people say a cucumber tastes better pickled.

  3. Ignore them and don't believe all what you are told on Y/A. People pretend to be something they are not eg a Police Officer, Lawyer, just be careful.

  4. I have just read your previous question.

the 'intent' on the wounding charge makes it worse than if it was just wounding. for example the charge of 'intent to supply drugs' is worse than 'supplying drugs' It basically means they meant to course more harm than they actually did I think. I do know that the 'intent' will give it a harsher sentence on the outcome as well deserved.

Hope this helps you in some way

    Tracey xx

  5. I would ignore these answers. On occasion here you will receive answers that have no bearing whatsoever on the question. Some people feel it is fun to make fun of others or give spurious answers.

What I usually do when I see these answers is give them a thumbs down.

Do not be afraid to ask your questions, as there are many here who enjoy helping others to get answers.

  6. They were joking!  Well one was a spammer and the other was joking!

    Ignore them!

  7. One is advertising his blog, the other is trying to be humorous. You get a lot of strange and unhelpful answers on here but you just need to separate the wheat from the chaff. Don't be disheartened I haven't been on long but have had some great help from some very genuine people.

  8. go to thier profile and contact them and ask them what esactly they mean

  9. Do not attempt to do so until your clear as to the exact nature of the posed question, asking for more clarification is never a bad idea.
