  1. After That, there's nothing you can do about it..

it's the dreaded lens error which most canon powershot owners including me experience. It's when the lens for no reason stops working, or is induced. It can happen for a number of reasons.

Which we're not going to talk about, and to put it simply, you can do absolutely nothing about it. You have to send the camera into one of canon's authorized repair dealers.

go to http://usa.canon.com, and you can go to the supports page, and see where you need to go. You'll have to send it in, or you'll have to get another camera, and if you do, don't get canon, i switched to nikon. Canon lens errors occur all of the time, and is so annoying.

Oh, and to restart it, all you have to do is turn it off and turn it back on, there's nothing special about restarting the camera.

i know it sucks, but God Bless :)

  2. just push the button where u turn it on it happens to me all the time i have the same camera :)

  3. Restarting would probably mean turning it off, maybe taking out the battery, maybe waiting a while, putting it back in, and turning it back on.  If that doesn't fix it, your camera might be hosed.  Especially if it's making an audible clicking noise.  That lets you know there's something physically wrong with the lens.  So you might have to get it fixed or buy a new camera.
