How do i restart my internet explorer?

today i was trying to watch a programme on the internet and with EI i couln't do so, i then came on a page that told me to copy a certain "pass code" onto my notpad then save that and then go into it and let it continue! since i did that i cannon get into certain sites on the internet that i use alot! how do i reverse what i did? please help..

Download an update for Internet Explorer, or an Alternative way is to just Download Mozilla Firefox. (Its free.) In my opinion and a lot of other people's its better than Internet Explorer.

delete the file that you saved in notepad. it can harm your computer

First, start Internet Explorer. Then, go to tool button and open it. Then, go to internet options. Then, click on advance tab. At the bottom, you will see reset everything. However, you will loose history, temporary files, add-ons. The good thing is it may fix your problem. So, write down any passwords, favorites websites. Hope this help.
