How do i restore my ipod with all my music still on it?

i plugged in my ipod at my buddies house to show him a few songs and he updated it before i could tell him not tooo now all my 30gb video ipod does is sit there blinking every now and then when its plugged in to the computer, it wont let me hear music on it and itunes nor my computer will pick it up. im just trying to get everything back to normal what should i do?

  1. just restore it back to factory settings its worth a shot


  2. Your going to have to ......restore it and you are have to replace all the music on it that you had. It sucks, I Know, but if you call Apple tec. they are going to say the same thing  

  3. For one, you should always have your music and everything backed up on your computer.  

    Try a program like Touch Copy or imtoo, which get the music and videos off of your iPod and onto your computer, and see if they'll recognize it.  If not, you just lost it.
