How do i revive a LICORICE plant?

Question

i recieved a LICORICE plant from a friend but it is in poor health..there are a few green leaves twards the bottom of the plant but the rest is all gray looking..it is a vine type plant..i never have had a plant like this & am at a loss as to what to do to try & make it healthy again( if it is possible).she had it in the shade ,but on the info sticker it says to grow in full sun..any help would be great!!

Birth control pills..no really my mother has a Green Thumb.. play music for it & talk to it too..Good Luck grew up with a forest in the living room..lol..
