How do i rewire my cooling fans back to the fuse box?

hey my cadillac was in a front end accident and the front was replaced but the fans are wired directly to the battery so that means that everytime i have to start the car i have to connect the fans and when i turn off the car i have to pull the wire off the battery how can i rewire the cooling fans back to fuse box?

  1. It's not hard to do at all , first take a test light and find a fuse that is hot with the key on ,Work your key on & off making sure that  the power does go off when you turn the key off & on when you turn the key on. Now run a wire from the fuse that you have find to work with and run it to the fan,besure that you hook it to the hot wire on the fan, now run a ground wire ,it can run to the battery are to the frame has long as it's grounded , You should be able the turn the key on now and the fan should come on.


  2. find a fuse that,s hot only when the key is at the start position and the run position. that way the fan wont run on accessories or when the key is off.

  3. best bet would be wire up via a fused relay , most common being a bosch 30 amp.

    you take your hot lead that is currently feed power to you fan and hook that up to pin # 87, you run a wire off pin # 30 to your fan. take a fused 12v switch power and hook up to pin #85, then connect pin # 86 to chassis ground and you are done.

    thus every time you start your vehicle the fans are running.
