How do i rewrite on a DVD RW

i have a DVD RW that i have used defore. but i dont need the data on it anymore. how do i do or prepare it so i can copy another data on it. does the RW mean that i can use it several time? i mean write and re- write?

  2. Yes, you can use a RW DVD several times (a couple of hundred times I believe, maybe more).

    First thing you have to do is format the DVD. It's like formatting a drive. Simply put your DVD in a RW-compatible drive and use your favorite software (Nero, Roxio) to Erase or Format the drive. This could take a while...

    Then, simply write stuff on it using the same software.

    Note that these DVDs cannot be read in many readers. For example, I doubt that you could read it in your TV's DVD reader.
