How do i ride a horse?

my boyfriend is taking me horseback riding tomorrow (his family owns stables) anyway i have only riden a couple of times and the last time i rode was about 6 years ago so i really dont remember how please any tips would be great i dont want to look like an idiot

Horseback riding is like riding a bike, if you have the balance, once you've learned it shouldn't be that hard to get back on!   Your boyfriend will refresh your skills, so be at ease... he won't let anything happen to you.   Its fun, relaxing and a great way to have lots of communications with your boyfriend!

Hey if your boyfriends family owns riding stables he should be eager to give you riding lessons. Why try to pretend or why try to learn just enough to not be embarrassed. Just tell him plainly that you are not a good rider and you need lessons and he must show you patience. Lay it out there to him and watch him eat it up.
