How do i rip audio only from a dvd?

Question

a friend gave me a dvd of music videos of some great sacramento area bands. i've found a couple of the 20 songs but the rest have me stumped.

is there a way i can just rip/record the audio from the dvd? i have mac osX leopard, mac the ripper, audacity, plus all the normal ilife software.
