You just need to rip DVD to wmv video, then you can use windows movie maker to edit it and upload to youtube. if you don't know how to rip DVD, here is a step by step guide for you

Hi, youtube support flv format, you could rip a clip of your DVD to flv format directly and then upload to youtube. But, if you want to edit your output video by Window Movie Maker or other Video editor software, you could rip your DVD to WMV format.

There are many software titles you can use.. just depends on your preference, and if the DVD is setup to make it difficult to copy it.
