use windows media it does it for cd i probally does it for dvd's as well

if its a real dvd thats bought from the store u need a dual layer dvd burner

and ifs a bootleg dvd just put it in the computer, go to my computer and copy and paste the file

You first need a DVD rom drive. This drive will let your PC to read a DVD then using rippers you can do the task by then.

Use handbtrake(free)

or aimersoft dvd ripper, I use it for a long time, it can easily convert dvd to other video audio formats with high quality, that's really nice, you can check them out here for free
