  1. 15.1.

  2. Well...look at the hundredths...if its bigger than 5 round up.

  3. 15.1

  4. 15.1

you look at the number in the hundredths place, if it is greater than five , you round up. If it is less than five, you leave the number in the hundredths place the same and don't use the rest of the numbers

  5. The tenths place is the first place to the right of the decimal, so look to the place directly to the right of that one, called the hundredths place. If it is of the digits 5 - 9, then you round the tenths place up. If it is 0 - 4, then you keep the original tenths place. Since the place to the right of the tenths place is 8, you round up one.

    15.1

  6. To round it to the nearest tenth, you need to look at the next column along to the right.  If the digit in that column is 5 or more, you round it up, otherwise you round it down and it stays the same.

In this case there is an 8 in the next column to the right, so you round up.  Therefore the 0 in the tenths column becomes a 1 and the number stops there.

    Answer is 15.1   .

    Hope this helps
