    What do you try to do? ASP.NET framework is preinstalled on Windows Vista, so it seems that you have another problem.

  2. If you just doing development, then Microsoft Visual Web Developer Express has a built in web server that will run asp.net apps. If you want to go beyond this you will need to install IIS (Internet Information Services). You can get more details on that here:

    Note that you cannot install IIS on Vista Home Basic, only Vista Home Premium and above.
