How do i save a divx file to a CD so it will play on dvd players?

  1. You burn it as a data file in a CD.

If you have a Divx compatible DVD player than, yeah, you can burn it as a datafile and just play it... but if you have a standard DVD player that doesn't do Divx, then you will need to convert the file from Divx to something a normal DVD player will read... and to do that you can use any number of software packages --- I like Nero 7 ultra the best - or now Nero 8 is out too... it takes the file and converts it to something all DVD players can read (in your standard TSAudio and TSVideo folders)... it takes awhile to convert it to... a standard movie will take almost 2 hrs to convert... have fun!
