How do i save at the end of kingdom hearts 2 i've left it on for about 7 hours now and the screens not changed

can i save or not? the only thing on the screen is a picture of sora with an sea salt ice cream i his mouth and all my stat things

Thats the end you cant save just turn off your PS2, the only thing you can do is load your last saved game and fix anything if you want to see the secret ending

You can't save when you reached that part. It never goes away because that is the end of the game. You have nothing else to do anymore. However, you can reload your previous saved game and continue whichever part of the game that you haven't in your last game, like completing Jiminy's Journal. But the file will not record your victory over Xemnas.

haha, sorry but you can't save after the final bos battle.  only before it.  your last save point wil be the Altar of Naught, i believe.  there is no sandbox mode to let you roam freely after the final fight, but you can always go back BEFORE the battle again and do whatever it is you wanted to go and THEN fight him again.  hope this helps.
