I have a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD-110E.

I bought it today to do my media studies coursework on, i've finished all of my filming, and went to load it onto the computer (using the USB lead provided) and it will open it, play it and everything fine-

but i can't find a way to save it to my computer!!

When i go to open it with movie maker or anything it comes up as

'DCIM'

'VIDEO_TS'

'VIDEO_RM'

on options, and not one option for each video kinda thing?

I tried finalising the DVD and everything, but nothing seems to want to work...

Helppp! Please :)!

  1. If you have a mini dvd camcorder….

You will have to finalize your dvd in the camera and then put the dvd in your computer 's DVD burner (top loading only) and then you will have to convert the files (i downloaded handbrake file converter free) and import them into your editing program. Use the HELP feature in your editing program to learn about editing. Once you are ready to burn, your project will be burned to a different DVD and you can file the original away.

  2. i have this camera.

i use a memory stick. it allows me to transfer the video straight onto my computer no problems.

i dont know about the dvd part of it as i havent used that yet.

i would suggest getting a 2gb or more memory stick.

you get just as much recording time but you can re-record over and over with out removing the stick.

i got my memory stick off ebay very cheap.

    hope this helps.

  3. wmmaker does not support vob files.

    - insert miniDvD to pc DvD reader

    - upload vob files from 'VIDEO_TS' dvd folder to pc

via file mgmt- win explorer (start/mycomp)

    - convert vob to avi or wmv ...try super or prism

    - edit avi or wmv files via wmmaker
