Runner on first, one out. Batter hits line drive straight to 2nd baseman who catches it. Throws it to first baseman who touches the base before the runner can tag up. Something like this?

DP-L4 in the hitter's box

DP-T3 in the runner's box

  1. I would score it:

DP - L4 in the hitters box and put a 2 with a circle to indicate 2nd out

4 - 3 in the runners box and put a 3 with a circle to indicate 3rd out

  2. L4-CS3

Line out to 4 the caught stealing at 3

  3. the best part of scoring is that we all know what you meant. I try to use the least amount of symbols. I score DPL4 with an 'x' in the upper right corner of both boxes. "x" is my symbol for last out(s) in then inning.

if someone else said this first, give them the points!

  4. 4-DP

  5. F4-3 DP

Fly to 2B, threw it to 1B for the double play

  6. you see everyone has their own scoring tendencies. i personally wouldn't score it any of those ways. you have to score it to make sense for you.
