How do i see what my friend code is in pokemon diamond/pearl?

Go to your bag, select key items scroll down  click on your pal pad and click on the third option and it will give you your friend code.

You go to your items and look at your pal pad. However, if you've never hooked up to Wi-Fi with your game before you may not be able to see your friend code.

i dont remember, i think you have to go to that globe thing and talk to it in that wifi center thing i think its in jublife city, but im not 1000% sureeee.
