How do i sell my fish

Question

My platie keeps on having fry and i need to sell them im selling at 1.50 each half the price of fish selling at petsmart however how do i do it like does the person come to our house and see which one they want or do we take the fish in a portable carrier or what help i have 40 babies i need to sell quick and answer the question dont post any comments about you getting upset because i breed fish im a fish breeder so i think i can breed fish

For the type of fish you wish to sell, your best bet is to find a local store.  eBay and many of the forums, I doubt you will find much success.  The reason being, these are considered to be common ordinary types that anyone can pretty much breed and also much of the reason why your asking price is so low.  Online sections, if you have people out of your area, and ask for shipping, the cost of shipping, (Bags, water conditioner, box, styrofoam, etc...) is going to run you more then your asking price.  Even if you put the cost to ship itself on the buyer, you're still losing money.  Local stores are your best bet for this type of fish.

Do what I do, when my fish have babies I have mollie and swordtail fry now, I will take them to a pet store and in return you can either have more fish or anything else you might need from a pet store most local pet stores do this, However I do not know about Petrsmart.

Advertise it on your local notice board..make sure you leave a contact number so they can reach you.

They wil come over to your house and see which ones they like and from there you can figure out what works.

me and my exboyfriend used to sell that at our local pet store (fish n chirps) they always gave us a good deal

OH!!! take a small pet carrier and put a couple fish in there with water, put a sign on your pet carrier $1.50 each and also take a fish net and ziploc bags you take that and you can go to the park and sell them to people kids will buy them because they like fishies and they will buy them from you, i guarantee you people will buy fish

There are usually internet based clubs / forums that cover and promote different breeds of fish etc

Do a google search for your species and see if you can come up with any clubs / forums. Most will have a classified section where you maybe able to advertise the fry. Or you maybe able to connect with some local hobbiest who may like the fry for their own collections or point you in the right direction.
