How do i send pictures from my blackberry pearl to my labtop using the usb cable?

I just recently brought a blackberry pearl (red) and i want to know how to transfer all my picture that have ben taken by my blackberry pearl to my labtop with a usb cable that was provided with the device. I try doing that many times but nothing seem to pop up on my labtop indicating that my blackberry is connected and ready to be transfer. Everything seems to work including charging the battery with the usb. Please HELP!!!!!!!!

Once your phone is connected with the USB cord, and nothing comes up, go to the Start menu on your laptop, select "My Computer" where it says "Devices with Removable Storage" double click on something that looks like "Removable Disk (E:)."

A file should come up that says "Blackberry" double click on that and then "pictures." All the pics on your phone will show up, highlight the ones you want and right click, select "cut" and select a folder on your laptop to save them on.

When you put the cable in a screen pops up and you can go in to the folder and "Drag and Drop" files into it. If not then you go to My computer and go to removable disk (E: or D:) then you just open that up and do the process above
