  1. You need to have installed the software on the PC that came with the Tilt. If not, go to;

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/a...

    for XP or to;

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/d...

    if you are running Vista.

    If you don't care about syncing contacts or calendar, forget about the OUTLOOK part.

    After the software is installed, connect the Tile with the USB cable and create a connection by following the prompts. When finished, you should have a panel on your desktop. Note the "explorer" icon on the panel. Open the explorer from that icon. Click on the "My Windows Mobile-Based Device", open the \Windows\ folder, wait, it takes a few seconds to open. Note the \Rings\ folder? Open it and see the ring tones that came on the Tile.

    Now, open another file explorer on the PC desktop. Drill down to your ringtones, drag them to the \Rings\ folder in the other open explorer.  I tried using just one explorer but it didn't work that way, that's why I told you to open another one for the PC files.

    Using a whole mp3. for a ringtone might cause problems not to mention waste space.  Ring tones need to be just a few seconds long like 3 to 5 seconds.  If you are trying to make your own, go to;

    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

    and get a really great FREE open source editor and select just the short portion of a song you want as a ring tone and export that as mp3.

    Hope that helps.
