  1. Look for the thing that says passwords

  2. Try looking at the bottom of the router or in the manual for a website where you can login. For example, netgear has routerlogin.com.

Once you have found the website (if u cant go to linksys.com and try to figure out the login website from there) then u log in. Where ever u found the website, they should have told u the username and password to use.

If not, then use admin as the username and leave the password blank. if it doesn't work, use the same username and password as the password.

Hopefully by now u will have logged in successfully (go to linksys.com if u still have trouble). Now you can change ur settings. The website will probably take a minute and check for the latest firmware for ur router. once its done, there will be a few options. eventually there should be something like wireless settings or something similar (u'll know it when u see it) and then just pick ur security level. WEP is not reccommended. WAP is still vulnerable. The best is WPA2. set your password.

Now, go to all computers accessing the router wirelessly. you should have an option in which u will be able to pick a network. Create a connection to the router, and save the passphrase and u r done.

    peace
