Well you could just open a new window form File or you could right click on the link and select onpen in new window. I hope this answers your question.

I'm not sure that you can set it to do so, but I either open a new search window, or right click on the link I want and select open using a new window.

When on the page containing the link you want to open in a new window simply right click on that link and slide your mouse/arrow/cursor down to "open in new window" then click this.
