  1. You usually want sag to be about 20-25% of the fork's total travel.  For coil spring forks, sag is usually set using a dial on the top of one leg of the fork.  Sag is set on an air spring fork, by varying the amount of air in the fork.

    All forks are a bit different, though.  If you don't have the manual, you should go to the manufacturer's web site and look it up.  

    Also, you should be aware, if the fork is a coil spring design, you may need to get a different coil spring from the manufacturer to get the proper sag if you are are of the weight range for the spring.
