We used to use it for the hdtv, but now we have tivo so i kept the box for my tv. Will it work with a standard tv. How do i set it up, it comes with 5 cords but i have only 3 jacks on my tv and there is no yellow cord like on my tv so where do i put them?

  1. It should work on your TV. Just get some standard RCA patch cables (eg. stereo interconnects, composite TV) and run one from composite out to the yellow jack on your set. Use the other two RCA patches to go from the left and right audio outs to your TV's audio in connector. If you've only got one speaker, you'll only have one audio in- just pick the left one then.

If you have S-video on your TV, use that instead for it's better.

  2. sure, if your tv is not HD, then you can use the yellow, red, white wires to connect to your TV...

otherwise, you can just use the antenna out from the cable box to the antenna in of the tv.. (I have my hdtv connected to the cable box with composite connectors, but also stream the output of my cablebox around my home with the antenna out of the cable box.)
