How do i set up a donation box?

Question

My dad opens a fast food chinese restaurant and I want to try to convince the customers to show their support for the Si Chuan Earthquake.

Like maybe get a box from the red cross and place it on the counter?

Im not sure how this works or how I can do that.

get a round can that is sealed(so people cannot steal from it) a box that is locked put a picture of the earthquake on it and say on it please help the people of  the Si Chauan Earthquake on it ., sit it by the register so any change or bills from paying the bills can be thrown in the can

I really want to do this too at my work place. I suggest a cardboard box, and then cut a slip open that will fit dollar bills, checks, and coins.  Write on the outside what it is for.  Good luck.
