How do i set up a modem and a wireless router?

how do i set up a modem and a wireless router to give internet around my house? I have to put one together because my other one is too far away so how do set them all up so i have a working modem and wireless router?

make sure your modem works when your a wired into it. then unplug from computer and plug into the dsl input on router. turn off modem and router. then turn the modem on wait a few seconds the turn router on. plug a ethernet cablem from router output port 1 2 3 or 4 into computer. run set up cd to set up your wireless.

alternatively you after plugging router into your computer you could type in the ip address of the router into internet explorer to configure it through the web based interface, although cd is easiest for beginners.
