  1. The picture in the shop is always going to be an HD picture so to duplicate that, you will need to be able to receive HD channels or have an HDDVD or BluRay player.  Your local cable provider should have an HD option.  If not, Direct TV and DishNetwork both offer many HD channels.

  2. What do you mean by "as good as in the shop"?  Are you talking about the picture or the mounting of the entire unit or what?

  3. If you want the best results, you should look into getting an ISF certified calibrator to calibrate your unit.  that will ensure the best possible picture.

  4. Try renting one of the video calibration discs from netflix such as Digital Video Essentials. They'll walk you through how to calibrate your TV so it is the right color temperature and look the most correct to what video engineers are mastering their movies and TV programs at.

  5. Remember that in the showroom, right out of the box, most TV's are not calibrated and have their contrast and brightness jacked up so they look good under the harsh fluorescent lighting conditions most stores have. As such their performance and life will diminish over time. I recommend that wherever you decide to mount it, go into the menu settings and adjust to whatever room conditions exist.
