How do i set up my phone so i can be on the phone and online at the same time?

Im thinking all i need is one of the phone jack splitter things. Is that right or do i need something else to?

If you have a dial-up internet, you can't do it.  You can if you have a DSL service.  With a DSL service you need a filter in the phones to prevent phones and the computer from interfering with each other.  Ususally the filters are installed when the DSL service is installed.
