How do i setup wi-fi for my ds?

ok i went to the nintendo WFC configuration, hit the blue box then connection one, i searched for an access point and typed the wep key and and then when it test the connection i get full bars for awhile then there gone. what do i do?

Separate the modem from the wireless router by at least 3 feet.
