How do i share my PC internet connection with my laptop?

I've got wireless access only on the laptop (802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN). The connection on the PC is made through a modem/ router.

get a wire called a ethernet cable.. then pug that into your modem (depends on how many slots there are in the modem)

you would need a wireless router - either to replace the modem you have, or connected to it through rj45 connection. then you can access through the laptop. It is very unusual for a laptop to not have a network connection by the way.

get a wireless router

that will allow a hardwire to your pc - and provide wireless for your laptop

THEN - set your WEP key so that you encode so only you get your internet

we noticed a lot of traffic on our router when no one was on the computers

and then we set the security systems up - - - - greatly diminished

and now 2 other wireless systems have popped up in the neighborhood - - -- - - -

my neighbors had been enjoying my internet connection!!!!!

you need to hook your modem to a router and then hook the router to the pc your laptop should pick up the wireless signal from the router
