How do i shoot the cue ball in pool using power?

Hit the cue ball low and hard and it will stop when it hits the tartget ball and depending on your aim  The ball you hit will rocket across the table and into the pocket of your choice. This tactic will also leave the cue ball in good position for your next shot. However if you miscalculate your aim it will also leave the cue ball in good position for your opponent.
