ok i have two bunnies a 1 year old (female) and a (about) 6 mounth old male

the male is always scratches (everyone, not just me) when i pick him up and put him down. i dont take him out of his cage anymore but i do take the oldest out to maybe show him he has to relax if he wants to go outside and play and stuff. The female and i go oout side for walks alot now and i feel were getting close (due to the fact she acally let me be beside her when she slepps (she has never done that before)

JUST TO GET TO THE POINT how can i show my bunnies that i love them ~ how do they tell each other that "i like you as a friend" or somthing

what can i do ?

  1. Spend time with them. Feed them banana, brush them, and def rub them on head. My rabbits LOVE it.

  2. you cuddle them and put a picture of yourself in their cages. buy them toys, or decorate their cages or something.

  3. A good way to bond with your bunnies is to gently rub the base of their ears, they enjoy this and find it relaxing because they groom each other this way. Also, most rabbits are not too keen on being picked up so you can train your rabbit to hop into a tray to be taken out of his cage, just put a slice of apple in the corner and wait for him to hop in, then lift him out!

Another good way to bond is to lie on the floor and let your rabbits play around you, sniff you, stand on you if they want to etc. as you are much less scary to them when you are down on their level.

    Good luck.

  4. It is instinctive for rabbits to be afraid to be picked up.  Many are afraid of heights and feel insecure being lifted (sort of like being attacked by a large predatory bird).  Rabbits are very hearing-oriented, talking in a soft soothing voice often can be calming.  Also make sure you have your bunny properly supported when you have to lift him/her.

It is generally not recommended to pick up rabbits other than when necessary.  There are many cages with front-opening doors that allow for your bunny to hop out unassisted.
