How do i shrink "100% ringspun cotton" shirts?

i got two new ones and they're both a large and they're too big, how do i shrink them too make them fit me like a medium?

Wash in hot and set the dryer heat to hot

Wash them in the washer on hot and then set the temp. on the dryer to hot and dry them. Trust me it works.

wash in HOT water.. throw in the dryer.
