How do i shrink shorts?

its time for the fair, i got these brand new adorable shorts but there too big, help. i need a quick way to shrink them besides hot water in the dryerrr trick..

They'll only shrink if they're 100% cotton, or something like silk.  Most things like khaki or denim won't really shrink except over a period of time with wear.  

But to maybe make them feel a little more snug, wash them and hang them to dry.

Or wash them, dry them until they're slightly damp, and put them on.  It will feel weird, but it helps!  This will only work if they're slightly too big, if they're a whole size or two, probably won't work.

u might want to try washing them in warm water but not hot water otherwise they would be for barbie dolls
