  1. I don't sign mine, I leave it blank and make the store owner ask to see my Driver's license to compare signatures.  Too many can duplicate your signature if the card is stolen.

  2. A regular ball-point pen (such as the cheap Bic ones) will work just as well.

Permanent marker has worn off/faded from mine.  Use the Bic pen, they're cheap but they last the length of the card.

  3. Use a Sharpie permanent ink fine point

    Available almost anywhere

But on the mine I write "Ask for picture ID"

    tcw

  4. the only thing you should sign on it is "check ID" tht way no one can use it but you! dont forgt your ID too! haahaa!

  5. You can sign it or put "Check ID" on the strip on the back.  This is for security although it seems that the majority of the time, no one looks at the signature any way.  Please do NOT leave the signature line blank as one person mentioned.  If you do this and your card is lost or stolen, whoever finds it can sign it any way they like and use it with no problems at all.

On the sticker, there should be instructions to call an 800 number to activate the card.  After you follow the instructions, peel off the sticker.

Try a few different pens until you find one that will work.

And please call your bank if you have any questions at all.  That's what they are there for and they will be happy to answer whatever questions you have.

  6. dont sign it!if the card is lost or stolen and it is signed, clerks will not ask to see any ID cards. you are not required to sign them.

usually any purchase over $50 and you use like a credit card  and the back is not signed they want a picture ID
