  1. Join a theatre group, or do drama at school. This will build your confidence. Or you could just stop caring about what other people think. Audition for the school musical or something.

  2. enter my contest

  3. Practice, practice, practice. First start practicing in front of a mirror. Then your family. Then your close friends. Then friends. Then you should feel much more comfortable as to singing in front of people, so you can bust out in song anytime you want.

  4. Just do it! if your lucky enough to have a beautiful voice dont let it go to waste!!

  5. You can sing

    Just wear a google

    and start singing

because wearing it will prevent an eye contact with your listeners

and then you will not shy

    nice idea na?

  6. well If your too shy then you can't be a singer, can you?

  7. I had the SAME problem for years. I decided to sing in front of my good friend...she's VERY honest. I remember I kept laughing right after I told her, "Ok, here goes.." I just couldn't get it out cause I was soooo freakin' nervous, but I eventually did it & she said I was great. Just do it in front of someone you love & trust that wouldn't lie to you. Good luck...you can do it!!

  8. Do what my friends did.

    1) Sing in rockband (lol)

    2) Wear a mask and sing on youtube.

I can't think of anything else that is so less serious, people could care less unless you were really talented.

  9. First you must practise your singing technic.

If you can, invite a music teacher to teach you singing.

When you are singing, you must relax and look far to the end of the room. (don't look at the people at the front to meet their eyes)

Then don't be shy ... be confident ... tell yourself that you can ....

Don't let them look down upon you.

Be brave, show your friends that you can!

I'm sure that they will be surprised because you are singing so well!

  10. Yes, baby steps is important. Once you get used to doing it in front of 1 person then sing in front of 2, then 3...and so on.

As a professional singer, I can tell you that the more you do it in front of people the less shy you will be. You'll get over it eventually. I was too shy to sing in front of anyone when I started, but now it really doesn't bother me

  11. You could always self-videotape it and then show it to others later, that way, you aren't affected by stage-fright during your performance.  Break a leg :D
