  1. This could also be hand, foot and mouth. http://www.askdrsears.com/html/8/T082600...

Try tylenol and small amount of orajel

  2. Bonjella.  I Asda/Tescos still open?  Could you borrow some?  Take to Doc if interferes with feeding.....also, you could give baby paracetomol after 3 months!

  3. I would take him to the doctor on Monday.  Your son is still pretty young and I know the oral herpes virus can be quite bad for babies.  Today, you can try rubbing baby orajel on it, or a tiny tiny tiny bit of clove oil (it's pretty potent, but numbs really well, and is all natural).  Give him tylenol (for pain, and also because I know for me at least mouth ulcers can sometimes give me a low grade fever).  Maybe a cool teether to suck on?

Poor babe, I hope he feels better soon!

  4. Teething gel can be used effectively to help relieve mouth ulcers.  Put a little of this on the ulcer about 5 minutes before you feed him his bottle and he should be happy to drink it.

You could also give him a teething ring that has been in the freezer, as this will help relieve the pain.

Panadol (not sure what the US name is for it) can also be given as pain relief.

Most importantly, take him to a doctor and get professional advice.

Good luck, I hope he feels better soon :)

  5. Maybe you can give a call to an ER in your area and ask if there are any safe topical things to ease the pain, or even a pharmacist at your local pharmacy.
