I bought some frozen chicken thighs. i want to cook for my bf. im not really experienced at cooking so not something to fancy. i just dont want to just put them in the pan like it says on the bag. Is there a better way to cook it to make them more creative and better tasting?

Oh and i bought this bag of pasta for a side so the chicken has to go good with it.

  1. make fried chicken

season flour heavily with salt pepper paprkia garlic onion powder

dip chicken then fry in skillet or deep fry for 10 minutes

or marinate in italian dressing then bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes

  2. yes there definitly is

well you make up a marinade of worstershir sauce tomato paste, salt pepper, mustard, hot curry powder(a dash if you have some)(make sure it's like juices.), now lay the chicken in it for about 20-30 minutes.

now you take the chicken out and start it cooking. but before you finsh you can put the leftover marinade over the top in the pan and let it absorb some.

put your pasta on the plate and lay the chicken on too.

i suggest maybe defrost some peas and mix them with the pasta for some extra texture.

    i hope this helps

what do you think of my recipe?

  3. what i do sometimes with chicken thighs thats really easy is season the chicken generously with seasoned salt and a little salt and pepper on both sides, place in a large baking dish that already has tbsp melted butter or marg. in it , cover with aluminum foil tightly and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 45 min. turn chicken halfway and ajust time it takes to do that. And there you have it!!  Delicious chicken!

  4. Boil the pasta until just tender, brown the chicken pieces in oil.

Drain the pasta & transfer to a casserole dish, arrange chicken on top.

You can add chopped onion, celery, or peppers, for flavour & colour.

Pour a can of mushroom soup, diluted with milk, over the dish.

Or cream of chicken, or crushed tomatoes, whatever you have.

Use any spices that you have or like: thyme, sage, etc.

  5. I found this GREAT recipe from Rachel Ray called Sloppy Buffalo Joes.  It calls for ground chicken, but I am sure you can adapt it a bit.  My husband LOVED it.

    2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

2 pounds ground chicken or turkey breast

1 carrot, peeled and chopped or grated

    2 stalks celery, chopped

    1 yellow onion, finely chopped

2 to 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped or grated

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

    2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

    2 tablespoons brown sugar

    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 to 1/3 cup hot sauce (recommended: Frank's Red Hot)

    1 cup tomato sauce

    1 cup chicken stock

8 good quality burger rolls, split and toasted

    1 cup blue cheese crumbles

    2 large dill pickles, chopped

Heat a large skillet with extra-virgin olive oil over medium-high heat. Add meat and break it up with wooden spoon, cook 5 to 6 minutes. Add in carrots, celery, onions and garlic, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper, cook 7 to 8 minutes more. In a bowl combine the vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire, hot sauce, tomato sauce and stock. Pour into the pan and stir to combine. Simmer a few minutes more. Pile sloppy Buffalo filling onto buns and top with blue cheese and chopped pickles.

  6. Why not try the recipe from your link ? Just use the thighs in place of the b*****s

    FIESTA CHICKEN WITH NACHO PASTA

    INGREDIENTS

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1-1/4 lbs.)

    1/2 cup Hellmann's® Real Mayonnaise

3/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs

    1 cup prepared chunky salsa

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (about 4 oz.)

1 package Knorr® Fiesta Sides™ - Nacho Pasta, prepared according to package directions

    PREPARATION

    Preheat oven to 425°.

Brush chicken with Mayonnaise, then dip in bread crumbs until evenly coated.

In 13 x 9-inch baking dish, arrange chicken. Bake 35 minutes. Top chicken with salsa, then cheese. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and chicken is thoroughly cooked. Serve with Knorr ®/Lipton ® Fiesta Sides ™ - Nacho Pasta.

** I adjusted the cooking time as 15 minutes is Not long enough for chicken to cook.

  7. add tomato soup Lipton's or v 8 veg sauce and few green peppers

  8. Something I have done is to put oil or butter in a skillet, place meat in skillet, and cover.  Let steam cook for about 5 minutes, and then sprinkle cajun Seasoning over it.  This is an tasty, simple dish, and I have gotten great comments on it!
