How do i spitroast?

i have a pig, i wanna spit roast it, any tips?

in the garden, you need 2 forked sticks and another stick long enough to actually put the pig on. make a fire underneath and you are set

wow alot to answer , are you doing it over traditional coals or gass bbq (about £60-100 hire) over coals need 8 hours over a surrounded  enclosed pit ,start slow then add more coal . to the centre , bbq is 7 hours ,

easy way ...cut head off , skewer large spike through pig throw it on two poles and away you go . if you need the spit let me know

You can buy a spit roast in B&Q - you will find it with the BBQ stuff.Its about 20 quid and fits into most gas BBQs. Chickens are amazing done on the spit - yum. If its a hog roast you are after we bought a really good one from www.hogroasting.com. There are plenty of catering companies that will come to your house with the roast and cater for you and your friends - You should give them a go before you fork out and buy one.
