How do i stain curtains with tea?

I have some lace curtains and I would like to stain them.

do u want random blotches or do you want to soak them totally in tea?

put tea into a large bucket, then dip the curtains in there for 5 minutes or so or less depending on how much you want to stain them, then gently squeeze excess, and leave outside to dry

Make some very strong tea or coffee and soak the curtains in it overnight , the next day rinse and you are done!

If part of the lace is polyester it will take the color different from the rest.

Tea staining works best with cotton.

The longer is soaks the deeper the color.

Wet the curtains first or they will not take the dye evenly.  Then dip them in the strong tea and let them sit until they are dark enough.  Keep in mind that they will look darker while wet than after you dry them.

I would suggest that you place 2 100count boxes or tea bags ($ 1.00 each @ save-a-lot) in a 5 gal bucket , add 4 gal. of hot water and 1/2 cup salt (to set color) , let set till tea steeps and soak curtins for 2-3 hours.

dry  on high 2 set stain.

Ewww why?? Lace curtains stained will most definately look very dirty....
