My best friend just finished her Bach and is now in process of obtaining her MBA

She works for a large Corp here in WI and is making pretty good money. She has been getting increases like mad...

Plus some of her other co-workers who have been there longer (but don't even have or are working towards MBA) are making MAD loot. Like this one girl 23 and by next year could very realistically be making 6figures!

I hear it is rather demanding work but...I guess if you are in finance you know that already.

Another thing to consider if wanting own business is Financial Planning. That's what my friend wants(ed) to do.

True accountants usually don't run a business, you study so hard to work as accountant for someone. Leave the job of accounting to someone instead if you are running a business. You have much more work to do.

The path that pays the best would be to get your CPA, go into public accounting for a few years (PWC, E&Y, etc) then look for a controller/CFO type position.  There are specific jobs, but there is no specific business or industry. Nice thing about accounting is it is in demand no matter what the business. Everyone uses accountants so you can take your pick!
