  1. I suggest that you read "The Teenage Liberation Handbook" by Grace Llewelyn.  It has great ideas for homeschooling and how to talk with your parents.

Homeschooling could really be beneficial to you.  There are so many opportunities.

I'm not familiar with virtual schooling in the UK, but I'm sure you can find out from a local homeschool support group.  And it's a good idea to get involved with one anyway, for social networking and support.

Best of luck to you :D

  2. You seem quite convinced that your present school is wrong for you.  That does not mean that homeschool is right.

Try listing the positive things about homeschool - the things that actually make it better, not just different.

Explain "why" to your parents.  Example: grades 10X better.  "Learning at the speed you need" requires much more information and explanation.

check out this website to learn the law in your state:

What curriculum will you use?  Who will determine what you learn next year?  Google "homeschool" and try to put together a plan.  It should at least impress your parents that you are doing your homework on homeschooling.
