  1. - Don't eat and then play, your body needs some time to digest before exercise.

    - Climb stairs rather then elevators, and try to jump rope 3-5 minutes every day; it keeps you in shape.

    - Take lukewarm baths with a little extra baby oil.

    - Keep your hair covered when you're outside in the winter, or you may end up with damaged hair.

    - For girls with long hair - try to keep your hair out of your face by tying it up, or wearing a braid or something, so you can see.

    - Anybody who wears glasses - prevent getting your glasses from clouding over on humid days by dipping them in cold water before your event and wiping them with a handkerchief.

    - Try to put Vaseline on your lips in the winter so your lips won't get chapped.

    - Like your Physical Education teacher probably tells you, don't wear jewelry when doing any sport-related activities.

    - Don't drink dairy products before doing a sport because dairy products take a while to digest.

Try to drink cold drinks rather then warm drinks before doing your sport; cold drinks do not cause cramps and are more refreshing then warm drinks.

    - Drink a lot of water so you don't get dehydrated.

    - Try to drink fruit drinks without a lot of sugar; they're better for you.

    - Eat fresh fruit, bran muffins, whole wheat bread, oatmeal cookies, or vegetables instead of candy or soda.

    - Even though you may not like them, eat foods that are rich in iron like molasses, apricots, raisins, whole grain breads, eggs, leafy green vegetables, chicken, and liver.

    - Eat foods that are sweetened with honey or fruit juices instead of sugar or chocolate.

    - Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, make sure you ALWAYS eat something in the morning.
