How do i stay on track?

im going into 6th grade and ive heard homework comes home often. how do i stay on track and make sure i turn my work in on time!

please help!!!!

get a planner that is small and easy to carry around.  each day, each class, record homework and when it is due.  if it is a long assignment, then record the milestones by date, such as:

September 19 - 5 page essay assigned, due October 5

September 21 - Start research for essay

September 27 - Complete 1st draft

October 1 - Revise 1st draft

October 3 - Complete Final Draft

October 5 - Paper Due

get it?  for shorter homework assignments, just write them down and the due date.  

the important part is to use the planner and actually do the work as you've written it down.
